After almost three months of dreadfully missing the roads, I have returned. And running welcomed me back like an old friend - legs were light and swift, pace was steady, breathing was smooth, and my face was joyous. I covered 2.25 miles in about 23 minutes or so.
Couldn't pass up the op for a photo with my two girls - sometimes I have to pinch myself to remind myself that I'm a mother of two.
I'm now scouring the racing calendars and hoping to pencil in a few races in this coming spring. Nothing major, but something to keep me focused. Maybe Shamrock again, maybe not. Let's just say that if that bugger sells out before I can register, I won't shed any tears. But it might be fun to kick off my return to racing with a crowded, no pressure, fun-filled event.
