26.2 weeks

Today marks my 26.2 week of pregnancy ;) I suspect I am the only person in the world who thinks to celebrate this. I honored the occasion with a run (obviously), but not just any run. The run not only served the purpose of recovery from yesterday's effort, but it also provided me with a glimpse into my future.

Yesterday, I was really pumped up to run. I hadn't run outside all week, and the winter weather is so appealing to me, with its refreshing cold air and beautiful snowy landscapes. I couldn't wait to get out there and burn off some energy. My husband came with me and we enjoyed a great run in the park. Once again, I decided to include Harlem Hill in my route. I know this is bragging a bit, but I effortlessly sailed up that business and had no trouble whatsoever with the incline. At six months pregnant, I consider this a noteworthy accomplishment and plan to brag about it while I still can.

Today's run was more of a fun one. A very good friend of mine (JH) wanted to take her 8 month old baby for a run in the BOB. It was her first time running with it, and I was only too happy to accompany her. With the sun shining and the park glistening, we took turns pushing the jogger. I seized the opportunity to take it for a test drive, and I have only good things to say about the stroller. It rolled beautifully and was easier to push than I expected. This was all good news for me, since I hope to be doing this sort of thing regularly in the near future. Of course, we had to stop for a couple of pictures.

It's always been a dream of mine to push a baby jogger while pregnant; I guess I thought it would be as hardcore as you can get. Though I hardly look the part, I was thrilled to have this photo op! And the gorgeous nyc skyline in the background (not to mention the snow-covered Great Lawn) makes it just about perfect.

And I had to include a pic of JH and her adorable sleeping baby; he seemed to enjoy himself as much as we did, if not more. I've known him since he was two days old, and he is the best!

The run totalled three and half miles and was the perfect recovery run for me. When I got home, I warmed up with a cup of coffee and figured I'd commemorate my 26.2 week of pregnancy with a little belly pic.

That's great that running is still going so well for you and that you're able to keep up with it so effortlessly. Certainly something to brag about!

The BOB is a great stroller, and they do roll with ease. I'm sure you'll enjoy running with one when it's your own.

You look great!

It was a great run, and I was happy to take the BOB on its maiden voyage with you. Walter definitely enjoyed the beautiful, sunny day too in his new stroller. I'd say it's not bragging and keep it up while you can!
